Fluent English Learners Club

Prerequisite: A new Learner or Confident Reader is required to pass the Prerequisite Assessment to be invited to join Fluent English Learners Club.


Give your child the best preparation for formal learning in primary school with our structured 12 months course; The Fluent English Learner Club (Level 4). The curriculum utilises knowledge of the primary school exam system to ensure that your child masters the required skills and techniques to obtain the level of English proficiency needed to excel in primary school.

Our methodology provides the Fluent English Learner with a solid foundation in listening, speaking, reading, writing and grammar, to help them gain confidence, develop their learning abilities, and cultivate their love for learning. Topical content allows the Learners to hone their critical thinking and oral presentation skills while nurturing their inquisitiveness and inspiring them to ask questions. Learners will learn to apply skills, strategies and techniques learnt to analyse questions in detail, seek clarifications when in doubt, produce responses aptly and precisely and recognize areas that require improvement.


A typical lesson focuses on:

• Verbal presentations and Poetry recitals
• Learning to response to direct and opinion-based questions corresponding to texts of different genres (stories, poems, factual texts) and video clips
• Building on vocabulary foundation with weekly spelling, dictation quizzes and thematic vocabulary.
• Basic Grammar Rules – E.g.: Nouns, Verb & Verb Tenses, Adjectives, Punctuations..etc
• Writing exercises while applying our in-house writing techniques: 5 Wonders Questioning Techniques
